Pricing and Availability
How much is the 2027 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk?
The Trailhawk starts at $42,630 before the $1,995 destination charge. Tell us whether you want the Sun and Sound package, the trailering package or the Advanced Pro Tech Group, and we will help you find one with those options.
What is the destination charge on a 2027 Cherokee?
The destination charge is $1,995, and it is added to the MSRP on every trim. Starting prices are shown before destination unless a line says otherwise, so the Cherokee at $35,130 becomes $37,125 with destination and the Overland at $43,130 becomes $45,125. MSRP excludes destination freight charge, tax, title, license, dealer fees, and optional equipment. Dealer sets final price.
Which 2027 Cherokee trim has the highest starting price?
The Overland starts at $43,130 before destination, or $45,125 with it, which makes it the highest starting price in the lineup. The Trailhawk starts at $42,630, which is $500 below the Overland, because the Trailhawk trades the Overland's sunroof and Alpine audio for trail hardware.
What is the cheapest 2027 Jeep Cherokee?
The Cherokee is the entry trim at $35,130 before destination, or $37,125 with the $1,995 destination charge. It has the same hybrid powertrain and 4x4 as every other trim, along with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a rear camera and Active Driving Assist, so the Laredo and above add comfort rather than capability.
How much did the Cherokee's price go up for 2027?
The Cherokee and Laredo each start $130 higher than their 2026 prices. The Cherokee went from $35,000 to $35,130, and the Laredo from $38,000 to $38,130. The hybrid powertrain, the 4x4 and the 3,500-lb tow rating carry over unchanged.
Can you find a 2027 Cherokee trim that is not on the lot?
Tell our team the trim and equipment you want and we will work on it with you. Current Cherokee inventory shows what is on the lot today.
Engines and Performance
What engine does the 2027 Jeep Cherokee have?
Every trim uses a 1.6L I4 Turbo Hybrid. The turbocharged four-cylinder and electric motor produce a combined 210 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque through a continuously variable transaxle, and the same powertrain sits under all six trims, including the Trailhawk, so no trim trades performance for equipment.
How does the Cherokee's self-charging hybrid work?
The engine and regenerative braking supply the electricity for the electric motor and its 400V battery pack, so it refuels at the pump and never needs a cable. Regenerative braking converts the energy of slowing down into charge, which is why stop-and-go traffic suits it. The Cherokee drives like any typical SUV, and Jeep says it needs fewer stops at the pump than a traditional gas SUV.
Does the Cherokee need premium gasoline?
No. Regular 87-octane gasoline is what the engine is specified on, and the Cherokee fills up at any gas station. Jeep notes that 91 octane or higher can improve performance, most noticeably in hot weather or under heavy load such as towing, so it is an option rather than a requirement.
How far can a 2027 Cherokee go on one tank?
The 13.7-gallon tank and a 37 mpg combined rating give over 500 miles on every trim except the Trailhawk, which is several round trips before you look for a pump.
What fuel economy does the Cherokee Trailhawk get?
Jeep rates the Trailhawk at 31 mpg combined. The other five trims are rated at 39 city, 35 highway and 37 combined mpg.
How much tongue weight can the Cherokee handle, and when are trailer brakes needed?
The maximum tongue weight is 350 pounds on a 3,500-lb trailer, with an 8,400-lb gross combined weight rating. Jeep recommends trailer brakes above 1,000 lbs and requires them above 2,000 lbs, so a small boat on a single-axle trailer bound for the ramp at Green Pond is within what the Cherokee is rated to handle when it is properly equipped with the Trailer Tow Group.
What is Active Drive II on the Cherokee Trailhawk?
Active Drive II is the Trailhawk's 4x4 system, with an electronically locking rear axle, Lock Mode and a two-speed power transfer unit. It gives a 2.92 low range ratio and a 37.5:1 crawl ratio for steep, loose surfaces, and the Trailhawk adds a Rock mode to the Auto, Sport, Snow and Sand/Mud settings of Selec-Terrain.

Features and Technology
How big is the Cherokee's touchscreen?
Every 2027 Cherokee has a 12.3-inch center touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital cluster display as standard equipment, so the dashboard looks the same on the $35,130 base trim as it does on the Overland. Wireless phone connectivity is listed on the base trim, and the Overland adds integrated navigation with voice activation.
Does the 2027 Cherokee have adaptive cruise control?
Jeep lists adaptive cruise control with stop and go among the Cherokee's driver-assistance features, alongside Active Driving Assist and Active Lane Management. On the bridge approaches in July, where traffic stops and starts, a system that follows the car ahead takes a lot of the work out of the drive.
Can I get a 360-degree camera on the Cherokee?
A 360-degree surround view camera is available, and every trim has a rear camera as standard. On the Trailhawk, the Advanced Pro Tech Group bundles the 360-degree camera with ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and front and rear camera washers, and the Overland offers the same package name.
What audio system does the Cherokee have?
The base Cherokee has six speakers. The Overland steps up to an Alpine premium audio system with 10 speakers and a performance speaker type, and the Trailhawk can add Alpine audio, together with the dual-pane sunroof, in the Sun and Sound package.
What child-seat anchors does the Cherokee have?
Both outboard rear seats have lower LATCH anchors for rear-facing and forward-facing seats, and there are three tether anchors behind the second row, one for each rear seating position. Jeep counts over 140 standard and available safety and security features in all.
Trim Differences
Which 2027 Cherokee trim has the most standard equipment?
The Overland carries the most: 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, Alpine audio, leatherette with a memory driver's seat, a hands-free liftgate and front and rear park assist with side distance warning. The Trailhawk adds off-road hardware to much of the same content, including heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
Which Cherokee trim suits a Cape Cod winter?
The Laredo and every trim above it have heated front seats and remote start, so the cabin is warm before you leave the driveway, and the Limited adds a heated steering wheel. All trims have standard 4x4, which is the foundation for a winter of salted roads and unplowed side streets.
Do all Cherokee trims have the same power?
Yes. Every trim has the 1.6L Turbo Hybrid making a combined 210 horsepower and 230 lb-ft, so the trim you choose changes equipment rather than performance. The Trailhawk keeps the same output and adds a locking rear axle and a two-speed transfer unit for terrain.
What is different inside the Trailhawk?
The Trailhawk's interior has premium Mantis Green upholstery with red accent stitching and an embossed logo, a Black Spun Aluminum shift-dial finish and a Radical Red bezel around the dial. It also carries power heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and memory seating and mirrors as standard.
Can the Trailhawk get the Advanced Pro Tech Group?
Yes. Jeep offers three packages on the Trailhawk: Sun and Sound, a trailering package and the Advanced Pro Tech Group. The Advanced Pro Tech Group adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, front and rear camera washers and a 360-degree camera, so it is the package to ask about for a fully equipped Trailhawk.

Service and Ownership
What does the Cherokee's basic warranty cover?
The basic limited warranty runs 3 years or 36,000 miles and covers the vehicle's parts and labor for defects. The powertrain warranty runs 5 years or 60,000 miles, and the hybrid battery has its own 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty, so the major systems are covered well past the basic term.
How long is the Cherokee's corrosion warranty?
Corrosion coverage is 3 years with unlimited miles on all panels and 5 years with unlimited miles on outer panels, which is useful for a vehicle that sees road salt in winter and salt air the rest of the year on Cape Cod.
How often does the Cherokee's engine air filter need replacing?
The engine air cleaner filter is replaced every 30,000 miles, and the cabin air filter every 12,000 miles. Those two items, together with the oil changes the dash indicator calls, make up most of what the first few years need. The full schedule is on the 2027 Cherokee service page.
Does the Cherokee need a special coolant?
One long-life Mopar organic additive coolant serves the engine, intercooler, hybrid battery and power electronics, so there is a single coolant to keep on hand. The schedule calls for a flush and replacement at 10 years or 150,000 miles, with the accessory drive belt replaced at the same point.
Can I service my Cherokee at Premier Cape Cod?
Yes. Our Jeep service department handles scheduled maintenance, tires and brakes for Cherokee owners, and you can book service online or call (508) 815-5000. Bring the vehicle in when the dash oil change message appears and we will take care of the rest of the schedule.
Buying at Premier Cape Cod
Can I test drive a 2027 Cherokee before I decide?
Yes. 2027 Cherokee Laredo models are on our lot, and you can schedule a test drive or call (508) 815-5000. Drive a Laredo at highway speed and see how the hybrid feels, then take it through a parking lot to feel the 20.2-foot turning radius.
How do I get pre-approved for a Cherokee?
Start your pre-approval online before you visit, so the numbers are settled when you choose the trim. Pre-approval keeps the visit focused on the vehicle: you can compare the Laredo, Limited and Overland knowing what you are approved for.
Can I trade in my current vehicle on a 2027 Cherokee?
Yes. Value your trade online and bring the vehicle in for an appraisal, whether it is a crossover or a pickup. A trade-in can offset part of the Cherokee's price, and the online form is the quickest way to start.
Does Premier Cape Cod negotiate on price?
Premier sells under the Premier Pure Promise, the group's negotiation-free pricing since 1995, and no member of the staff is paid commission. The price on a Cherokee is the price, so you can compare trims without a haggling session.
Which towns do you serve?
We serve Cape Cod and the South Shore, including Falmouth, Barnstable, Marion, Plymouth, Marshfield and Dartmouth, and drivers from Falmouth and Plymouth reach us by Route 132.
Is the Cherokee a fit for summer traffic over the bridges?
Jeep says the Cherokee's hybrid system drives like any typical SUV and needs fewer stops at the pump. Its 188.1-inch length also suits the Cape's angled summer parking, and the hybrid's regenerative braking works hardest in the stop-and-go lines at the bridges.
Where can I see the Cherokees that are in stock?
Browse current Cherokee inventory to see the 2027 models on the lot, or visit us in Hyannis. The inventory page updates as vehicles arrive, and we are glad to help you find the trim you want.
How does the Cherokee compare with the larger Grand Cherokee?
The Grand Cherokee is longer and tows up to 6,200 lbs, and the Cherokee is the more efficient hybrid at 37 mpg combined. The Cherokee vs Grand Cherokee page sets them side by side.
