The Gladiator is a mid-size pickup built on Wrangler architecture, sold in thirteen trims from $39,820 to $61,210 before a $1,995 destination charge. Every one uses the same 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 making 285 horsepower, the same eight-speed automatic, the same Crew Cab and five-foot steel bed, and part-time four-wheel drive as standard. Dana 44 solid front and rear axles, steel skid plates and forged tow hooks are standard from the base Sport up, and the roof panels and doors come off on every trim. On a peninsula where the same weekend can include a boat ramp and a permit-only sand beach, that combination is the reason people cross the Cape Cod Canal, and come down Route 6 from the South Shore, to look at one.
For 2026 Jeep adds the Sahara comfort trim and the Willys '41 heritage edition, and replaces the tool-based door removal with a quick-release hinge system. The stick shift did not survive 2025, which leaves a single automatic serving the lineup. Pulling capacity spans 4,500 pounds on a Sport up to 7,000 on a Rubicon straight off the lot, each a V6 Crew Cab on four-wheel drive, and reaches a 7,700-pound ceiling on a properly equipped Sport S with a conventional hitch behind the five-foot bed. EPA rates the truck at 19 MPG combined.
