The 2027 Jeep Gladiator comes in nine trims plus the new Sarge special edition, and all of them share one body, one bed and one engine. That makes the choice about hardware and comfort: how much towing, how much trail gear and how much leather you want around the same 285-horsepower V6. Starting prices run from about $42,100 for the Sport S to the mid-$60s for the Rubicon X, before the $1,995 destination charge.
Premier Cape Cod stocks the Gladiator lineup for drivers from Falmouth, Plymouth and Marion who want to compare trims in person. A Cape owner decides a trim by the calendar: the days the bed is full, the days the beach permit is on the windshield and the long stretch of ordinary commuting between them. Everything about the model in one place starts at the 2027 Gladiator research hub.

What Every 2027 Gladiator Includes
Every Gladiator shares a five-seat crew cab with a 5-foot steel bed, the 3.6L V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft, an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. A 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, forward collision warning and a ParkView rear camera are standard, and so are electronic trailer sway control and a 7-pin and 4-pin trailer wiring harness. Everything below is what a trim adds to that base.
2027 Gladiator Trim-by-Trim Breakdown
Sport S
A Sport S buyer is a driver who wants the Gladiator's bed and doors-off personality and likes choosing the extras. It carries cloth seats, alloy wheels, fog lights and privacy glass inside and out, with Command-Trac four-wheel drive and Dana 44 axles under it. Three add-ons matter most on the Cape: the 24S package for adaptive cruise control with stop, the Convenience Group for heated seats, a heated steering wheel and remote start, and the Trailer Tow and Auxiliary Switch Group for a Class IV hitch. The tires are 245/75R17 all-terrain and the skid plates cover the fuel tank, transmission and transfer case. On the crew cab 4x4 the base towing rating is 4,500 lbs and base payload is 1,025 pounds, and the price is about $42,100 before destination.
Willys
The Willys is where a Gladiator turns into a tow-and-trail truck. The 24W package, $5,345 over the Sport S, is the reason: it brings adaptive cruise control with stop, a Tru-Lok rear axle, Willys suspension, black wheels, Off-Road Plus mode and 255/75R17 mud-terrain tires. Cab rock rails, a Class IV hitch and four programmable auxiliary switches ride along as standard, so a trailer light kit or a bed lamp has somewhere to connect. The base towing rating on the crew cab 4x4 climbs to 6,000 lbs with base payload at 1,025 pounds, and it starts in the high $40s before destination.
Sahara
Think of the Sahara as the Gladiator for the person who drives it to work. Leather seating with power adjustment up front, remote start and a heated steering wheel take the edge off a frosty bridge crossing, a garage door opener sits in the headliner and the mirrors are heated. It rides on all-season rubber and carries a 4,500-lb base towing rating on the crew cab 4x4 with 1,025 pounds of base payload. Expect a high-$40s starting price before destination.
Sport RHD
The Sport RHD is the right-hand-drive configuration of the Sport, priced in the high $40s before destination. Remote start and the integrated garage door opener are not available on it, so it suits a driver who needs the right-hand seating position. Our team can show you which configurations are on the lot and how each one is equipped.
Rewind
The Rewind trades on nostalgia while carrying a modern comfort list. It borrows the Sahara's leather, power seats, remote start, heated steering wheel and garage door opener, wrapped in a retro special-edition look, and starts in the low $50s before destination. Base towing on the crew cab 4x4 is 4,500 lbs and base payload is 1,025 pounds.
Rubicon
When the question is traction, the Rubicon answers it first. Locking differentials at the front and rear axles work with a 4:1 Rock-Trac low range, a front disconnecting stabilizer bar and steel rock rails along the cab and bed. Four skid plates guard the underside, 285/70R17 all-terrain tires lift the clearance to 11.1 inches and a full-size spare rides on the back. Inside, adaptive cruise control with stop, Uconnect 5 Nav, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are standard. It carries the highest base rating on the crew cab 4x4, 7,000 lbs, with 1,200 pounds of base payload, and it starts in the mid-$50s before destination.
Mojave
The Mojave is built for speed over loose ground rather than patience over rocks. FOX 2.5 performance by-pass shocks and 11.6 inches of clearance, the most in the lineup, sit on Dana 44 axles with a 4.10 ratio and a Tru-Lok rear axle. Navigation, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control with stop and a Class IV hitch come standard. On the crew cab 4x4 it tows 6,000 lbs at base and carries 1,100 pounds, starting in the mid-$50s before destination.
Mojave X
Add the $7,095 X package to a Mojave and the truck gets a second job as a weekend hauler. Leather-trimmed bucket seats and Alpine audio take care of the cabin, while a body-color Freedom Top, a winch-capable steel front bumper and a steel rear bumper change the stance. Blind-spot and rear cross-path detection and a forward-facing TrailCam keep watch, and the cargo group brings a trail rail system, a roll-up tonneau cover, a 115-volt bed outlet and a lockable underseat bin. It keeps the Mojave's 6,000-lb base rating on the crew cab 4x4 and 1,100 pounds of base payload, from the low $60s before destination.
Rubicon X
The Rubicon X puts the full Rubicon trail kit under a loaded cabin, and the $9,295 X package pays for the difference. Nappa leather power seats and Alpine audio set the tone, and a body-color Freedom Top, rear park assist and blind-spot detection with rear cross-path coverage round it out. The front end gets a winch-capable steel bumper and the Warn electric front winch on its list, and the bed gets the cargo group with its trail rails, tonneau cover, outlet and lockable bin. Base towing on the crew cab 4x4 is 7,000 lbs with 1,200 pounds of base payload, and it starts in the mid-$60s before destination.
The 2027 Gladiator Sarge
The Sarge honors Jeep's military heritage and sits on the Willys and Rubicon, with a starting MSRP $500 over a comparably equipped Willys or Rubicon. Orders opened this summer, so ask us which Sarges have arrived.

Common Gladiator Trim Comparisons
Sport S vs Willys
The Willys is the Sport S plus the 24W package, a difference of $5,345. For that you get a Tru-Lok rear axle, Willys suspension, mud-terrain tires, Off-Road Plus mode, adaptive cruise control with stop, cab rock rails and a hitch, and the base crew cab 4x4 tow rating rises from 4,500 lbs to 6,000 lbs. Choose the Sport S to add options one at a time and the Willys for the trail and tow kit in one step.
Willys vs Rubicon
The Rubicon is about $8,255 above the Willys and replaces the single locking rear axle with locking differentials at both axles, brings the Rock-Trac system with its 4:1 low range and raises the base crew cab 4x4 tow rating to 7,000 lbs and payload to 1,200 pounds. Choose the Willys for a trail-ready truck that tows and the Rubicon for the deepest low range and front and rear lockers.
Rubicon vs Mojave
The two are priced about $500 apart, and they serve different ground. The Rubicon carries a 7,000-lb base tow rating on the crew cab 4x4, front and rear lockers and 11.1 inches of clearance. The Mojave carries a 6,000-lb base rating, FOX 2.5 shocks and 11.6 inches of clearance. It is a lateral move, a choice between slow, grippy terrain and open desert-style driving.
Rubicon vs Rubicon X
The Rubicon X is $9,295 over the Rubicon and adds Nappa leather power seats, premium audio, a body-color hard top, rear park assist, blind-spot detection, a winch-capable bumper and the cargo group. Both carry the Rubicon's lockers and Rock-Trac system. Choose the Rubicon for the hardware alone and the Rubicon X for a loaded cabin and a bed that is ready for gear.
Mojave vs Mojave X
The Mojave X is $7,095 over the Mojave. It adds leather-trimmed seats, Alpine audio, a body-color hard top, a winch-capable front bumper, a steel rear bumper, blind-spot detection and the cargo group. Choose the X when the trail truck is also the daily driver.
Sahara vs Rubicon
These two answer different questions. The Sahara puts leather, power seats and remote start in the standard list, while the Rubicon puts lockers, a 4:1 low range, 11.1 inches of clearance and a 7,000-lb base tow rating (on the crew cab 4x4) in the standard list. Pick the Sahara for the commute and the Rubicon for the weekend.
The 2027 Gladiator Value Verdict and Step-Up Guide
The Willys is the natural first step for a Cape owner who tows or drives sand: it adds the trail and tow hardware in the smallest price step on the ladder apart from the $500 lateral move to the Mojave. Every step after it is aimed at a particular driver. Each step below says what it adds and who wants it.
| Step | Price difference | What the step adds |
|---|
| Sport S to Willys | $5,345 | Mud-terrain tires, a Tru-Lok rear axle, Willys suspension and a 6,000-lb base tow rating |
| Willys to Rubicon | about $8,255 | Front and rear lockers, Rock-Trac 4x4 and a 7,000-lb base tow rating |
| Rubicon to Mojave | about $500 | FOX shocks and 11.6 inches of clearance for open sand (a different kind of terrain, not more capability) |
| Rubicon to Rubicon X | $9,295 | Nappa leather, premium audio, a body-color hard top, blind-spot detection and the cargo group |
| Mojave to Mojave X | $7,095 | Leather, premium audio, a body-color hard top, a winch-capable bumper and the cargo group |
| Sport S to Rubicon | about $13,600 | The full trail kit, heated seats and a 7,000-lb base tow rating |
Which Gladiator Trim Is Right for You?
If you launch a boat at a Cape harbor ramp
The Willys is the first trim with a 6,000-lb base rating on the crew cab 4x4 and a hitch from the factory, and the Rubicon steps up to 7,000 lbs for a heavier boat. Both ratings apply with the truck properly equipped, so match the trailer's weight to the rating before the first launch.
If a beach permit is part of your summer
The Rubicon and the Mojave are the two trims built for the sand. The Rubicon's lockers and 4:1 low range are made for soft ground where traction drops, and the Mojave's FOX shocks and extra clearance suit open stretches. Oversand driving at Sandy Neck or the Cape Cod National Seashore runs on permits.
If the Gladiator is your daily driver
The Sahara and the Rewind put leather, power seats and remote start in the standard list. Add the Convenience Group to a Sport S for heated seats and remote start at a lower starting price.
If you want everything in the cabin and the bed
The Mojave X and Rubicon X carry leather, premium audio, a body-color hard top, blind-spot detection, a tonneau cover and a bed outlet. Both are the trims to see in person.
