On commercial corridors laid out for sedans and in summer lots striped at an angle, the numbers that settle a purchase are the unglamorous ones, and on a vehicle carrying a battery under the floor the one nobody checks until delivery day is what it weighs. The 2026 Jeep Recon is 6,112 pounds at the curb, 193.3 inches long and 87.4 inches across the mirrors. Those three figures, against a 7,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating, decide more about living with it on this peninsula than the 650 horsepower does.
What follows is every published measurement, weight, capacity and term, grouped the way a buyer checks them. One trim is offered, the Moab, so each number applies to every Recon on the lot. Towing requires the Trailer Tow Group, an MSRP option at $995. The relationship between the weight figures is worth noticing: a 7,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating over a 6,112-pound curb weight is what leaves 850 pounds of payload, and that is the arithmetic of a battery under the floor. It is also why the load you plan to carry is worth checking against the placard on the driver's door jamb rather than assumed. Jeep publishes the weights table as estimates and rounds payload to the nearest ten pounds, so the three figures do not subtract to the exact pound.

A full-size spare on the swing gate rather than a compact under the floor is worth more here than it looks on a spec sheet: it is the difference between finishing a run on soft sand and calling for a flatbed off a beach.

6,112 pounds at the curb. Maximum payload is 850 pounds. The battery pack under the floor accounts for a large share of that weight, which is why the payload figure is lower than the vehicle's size suggests.
Measure against 87.4 inches, the width at the mirrors, because that is what passes the door frame before you fold them. At 193.3 inches long it sits inside a 20-foot bay, and at 73.8 inches tall at the roof rail it clears a standard opening.
