Every 2027 Ram 2500 ships with the 6.4L HEMI V8 as standard equipment, rated to tow up to 17,750 pounds and carry a best-in-class 4,580 pounds of payload when properly equipped with the new Payload Upgrade Package. Step up to the available High-Output 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel and the ceiling moves to 20,000 pounds of towing and 430 horsepower, with 1,075 lb-ft of torque on tap at just 1,800 rpm. For 2027, that diesel becomes available in the Power Wagon for the first time in the nameplate's history, and Ram's own Payload Upgrade Package raises maximum GVWR to 11,040 pounds across most gas trims.

It tows up to 17,750 pounds and, with the new Payload Upgrade Package (available on Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited, and Limited Longhorn), carries a best-in-class 4,580 pounds of payload on a raised 11,040-pound GVWR. Power Wagon comes standard with a 12-inch Uconnect 5 screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are both supported, and Android Auto now integrates Google Gemini. Front-row seating options span a 40/20/40 split-folding bench or available bucket seats, with three different 60/40 split-folding rear configurations. Mega Cab models add class-exclusive reclining rear seats and class-exclusive forward fold-flat rear seats. Storage runs deep: in-floor Ram Bins, a fold-flat load floor, a rear cubby bin, and a 115-volt rear outlet for charging devices on long hauls. An available 900-watt, 17-speaker Harman Kardon Premium Audio System with Interior Active Noise Cancellation is the top audio option across the lineup.

For 2027, Power Wagon can be ordered with the High-Output Cummins diesel for the first time, pairing serious torque with genuine trail hardware. Rebel sits alongside it as the street-oriented off-road trim, with a standard rear electronic-locking differential and an available Sport Performance Hood. Both trims offer a Class-Exclusive available factory-installed integrated front winch.
The 2027 Ram 2500 carries over 100 standard and available safety and security features. Adaptive Cruise Control is standard and class-exclusive, maintaining a driver-set following distance and able to slow the truck to a complete stop in traffic, even with a trailer attached. Available systems include Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking (which can bring the truck to a full stop, including while towing), LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with enhanced Lane Keep Assist, Drowsy Driver Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, a 360-degree Surround View Camera, and an LED Trailer Hitch Light built into the tailgate handle area for visibility when connecting a trailer.
