The 2027 Cherokee Trailhawk has Active Drive II with a two-speed power transfer unit and an electronic locking rear axle. The other Cherokee trims use Active Drive I. For a Dartmouth comparison, specify Trailhawk when those drive-system features matter; they do not follow from the Cherokee badge alone.
Hybrid-system output describes the gasoline engine and electric propulsion working together. The 2027 Cherokee’s combined output is 210 horsepower. A gas-engine-only figure does not describe the entire vehicle’s output. Compare complete powertrain figures when selecting a Cherokee for a Dartmouth test drive rather than mixing measurements from different parts of the system.
Check the model year, engine and drive system before comparing an older Cherokee with the 2027 turbo hybrid. Review its VIN-specific history and maintenance documents. During inspection, note warning lights and any abnormal operation. The Cherokee name spans different generations, so a specification for one generation is not evidence about another.
Follow the oil-change indicator, with the owner’s manual setting an outside limit of 10,000 miles, 12 months or 350 engine hours, whichever comes first. A Dartmouth owner should use that vehicle-specific guidance when arranging service. The maximum interval is not permission to ignore an earlier message from the vehicle.
The 2027 Grand Cherokee pairs the 3.6L Pentastar V6 with Laredo and Laredo X. The 2.0L Hurricane 4 Turbo powers other listed trims. Read the equipment for the exact year and trim before your Dartmouth trip; treating all Grand Cherokees as one engine would miss a material difference between vehicles.
